(La Maison de la Culture Coréenne au Luxembourg) is organizing a new art workshop
"Yeongmohwa" (Korean black ink painting of bird and animal) with artist Keong-A Song.
Date : 9, 16, 23, 30 September 2023
Duration: 2.5 hours per session (14:00 - 16:30)
Number of participants : Maximum 12 people aged 12 and above (By the order of registration)
Fee: 100 euros for all four workshops (All materials are included in the price)
Language : French

Speech Contest in Korean Language 2023
King Sejong Institute Luxembourg organizes "Speech Contest in Korean Language 2023". We encourage anyone who is passionate about learning Korean to participate. The winner will be given a chance to enter the Grand Final in South Korea in October 2023.
The contest will be held PHYSICALLY.
1. Registration period and contest time:
★ Registration period: 16 May 16 – 8 June, 2023
★ Registration method: by filling in the application form on the link below
★ Script submission period: 16 May - 9 June, 2023
★ Contest date: 10 June 2023, 12:00 - 14:00
★ Location: Lycée Robert Schuman (1 Boulevard Emmanuel Servais, Luxembourg)
2. Conditions of eligibility:
Students and alumni of King Sejong Institute Luxembourg and ALL Korean learners living in Luxembourg. Participants should not hold Korean citizenship and their main caregivers do not speak Korean as a mother tongue.
3. Registration process:
a. Those who wish to participate are kindly requested to fill the application form through the link below:
b. Participants in the Speech Contest are requested to send us a written version of their speech by 9 June 2023 via email to: k.culture.lux@gmail.com
c. The speech should be between 1 - 4 minutes.
4. The themes for the contest
To choose one of the 2 themes below
a.Korea seen through my eyes and Korea seen through the eyes of Koreans
b.The city in Korea I want to visit and my country’s city that I want to introduce
5. Evaluation criteria
Diversity (30), Fluency (30), Precision (20), Pronunciation (20)
6. Prizes
★ 1st place (1 person): Flight ticket and accommodation for trip to Korea for the grand final speech competition and Korean cultural camp in October 2023
★ 2nd place (1 person): Amazon gift card (200 Euros)
★ 3rd place (1 person): Amazon gift card (100 Euros)
★ Special prize (3 people): Korean souvenirs

Korean Culture Day festival

The <Korean Culture Day> festival will take place in cooperation with Korean Cultural Center Brussels to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Republic of Korea, and provide an opportunity to experience various Korean culture, which is open to everyone.

Korean Culture Day
Korean Cultural Centre Brussels, in collaboration with the Korean Cultural House in Luxembourg, is organising a series of cultural events
in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and
the Republic of Korea, commonly known as South Korea.
On Saturday 22 October, the Korean Culture Day festival is taking place at Centre Culturel Scheiss, 141 Val Sainte-croix, 1370 Luxembourg,
from 16:00 to 21:00, which includes K-pop music, Korean food and drinks, and display of traditional costumes.
