If that sounds like you, then join “Coffee & Talk: The Korean Chat Club!” Enjoy a cup of coffee while chatting in Korean with Korean teachers and native speakers as well as your friends✨ You may not be able to travel to Korea right away, but at our Korean Café, you’ll experience the magic of being in Korea while sipping coffee with a Korean speakers.

This semester, our movie club will explore Korean society through the lens of six films that won the Best Director Award at the Baeksang Arts Awards. These films are not only critically acclaimed but also showcase the unique vision of their directors, offering a deep exploration of Korea’s social landscape, historical contexts, and cultural shifts.

By analyzing these films, we will examine how the directors convey their messages and perspectives on Korean society—from personal identity crises to class struggles, religious dilemmas, and political power structures.
